shaping time with desire

Hello friends,
I am in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal this week taking time to retreat, rest and hang out with a fav childhood friend who is here for a conference.
I have been writing more love poetry. Pablo Neruda's Love Poems, a travel bilingual edition came on this trip with me. I watched a movie where a character quoted this collection. I'm also reading Édouard Glissant’s Mahogany, translated from French.
I am excited to be in week three of Thresholds, a 11 week decolonial divinatory literacy group Tarot reading class with Christopher Marmolejo at The Red Read. They wrote Red Tarot, the book that introduced me to their practice. Diving deep into the cards in deep conversation and shared ritual has been enriching and enticing.
I am continuing to get clearer on my upcoming offering for leaders taking a leap towards creative freedom in my 1:1 work with Ayana Zaire Cotton at Seeda School. Our last meeting of this container is in a couple of weeks, and I'm so excited for how this offer is shaping up, and to share more about it with y'all!
I am loving how easeful showing up to 'work' conversations for my practice while on 'vacation' has been. The more I open up to my own time's intelligence, I see how my practice can be playful. A ten minute sprint penning poetry on a park bench 🥬🔥 while listening to Erykah Badu makes magic. I put my notebook away and walk to another park to watch birds stare at the shimmering cobalt green pond while I stare at the birds.
Time bends and flows where desire calls.
Pablo Neruda's Love Poems beckon me deeper to pine for and lavish my creative desires —" I love you like this because I don’t know any other way to love" — One Hundred Love Sonnets:XVII
Happy Virgo ♍ season and new Moon in Virgo 🌑 🧹🌱 see you next week!
